Nestling in the old High Street in Royal Tunbridge Wells,

Payne & Son (Silversmiths) Ltd have been jewellers and silversmiths since 1790.

This branch has been here since 1890 and has undergone many changes over the years but has still been able to preserve it's original features and characteristics.

Michael Payne is the seventh generation to carry on the family business.

Not just a jewellers, the business has had to reinvent itself during hard times and can now be described as a luxury retail establishment.

Aside from the usual clocks and watches, vintage and contemporary jewellery, Payne & Son is also host to a collection of world famous porcelain sculptures fom the likes of Meissen, Nymphenburg and Ludwigsburg to name but a few.

Recently, a wedding event was hosted in the store where 17 local shops and businesses from the High Street and Pantiles area were invited to display their wares under the one roof.

Modern technology has to be embraced and with this comes a new website designed to give you a flavour of the types of products we stock.

Our shop opening hourse are Tuesday - Saturday 9.30 - 5.00pm and closed 1-2pm for lunch.
