Payne & Son have been jewellers and silversmiths since 1790. There has been a branch of the family at Tunbridge Wells since 1870 and Michael Payne is the seventh generation and has been involved in the trade for thirty five years. The High Street shop has now closed but private visits for silver valuations, insurance and probate, as well as buying and selling advice may still be made by appointment.
